The Department of Education has published some guidelines advising parents/gaurdians on when not to send your child to school due to symtoms of Covid:19. Please do not send your child to school if they have any COVID-19 symptoms.
Symptoms of COVID-19 include:
- a fever (high temperature – 38 degrees Celsius or above) – including having chills
- a new cough – this can be any kind of cough, not just dry
- shortness of breath or breathing difficulties
- loss or change to your sense of smell or taste – this means you’ve noticed you cannot smell or taste anything, or things smell or taste different to normal
- runny or blocked nose
- nausea, vomiting or diarrhoea
- aches and pains or tiredness
- sore throat
- headache
